This event is free and open to the public.
Join musician Adam Met, founding member of the chart-topping trio AJR and founder of the climate nonprofit Planet Reimagined, for a special Climate Week appearance alongside Alexis Abramson, Dean of Columbia Climate School. Together they will discuss how art and science can work in tandem to inspire action on climate change, empower the next generation of leaders, and accelerate solutions at every level of society.
The Columbia Climate School — the first of its kind in the nation — is dedicated to generating real-world climate solutions through world-class research, education, and partnerships. Met’s dual role as both a musician and sustainability advocate with a PhD underscores the kind of creative leadership needed to meet the urgency of this moment while keeping optimism at the center of the conversation.
This discussion will be recorded live for the Sing For Science podcast, a Top 10 Music Interview Podcast on Apple’s charts, hosted by New York musician Matt Whyte. Past episodes include David Byrne on eel ecology, SIA on attachment theory, and dozens more conversations where music opens the door to science. Sing For Science is sponsored in part by a grant from the Simons Foundation.
We encourage attendees to register for the event.
